Future of Europe is in the hands of Democracies

Donetsk Euroclub is happy to present a series of essays on the topic "Future of Europe" by former members of Euroclubs. Essays were submitted for a competition to participate in a Youth in Action exchange in Norway. Essays are presented as received.

The future of Europe is in the hands of the democracies in the hands of the people of Europe. Citizens will determine the direction of Europe. They are the masters. But nonetheless, whatever the institutions of Europe, it will be important to truly pan-European public debate.

Good governance requires that both individual Member States and EU institutions fulfill their functions.

Each country of euro zone should keep its house in order. This means a responsible economic policy from the government, as well as the strict supervision of the common policy, not just fiscal policy, but also measures affecting all aspects of the economy - from the Commission and Member States.

Magic wand that can solve all the problems is seen in Europe integration.

The biggest target group of integration of children are receiving a better picture of the processes taking place in society than their parents, locked in four walls, and communicating only within national borders.

So, today we must not look back. We must look forward - to improve the collective capabilities, as well as the potential of each country to be stronger and more prosperous in well-functioning union.

It's time for a new Europe!
